Danielle Caruana is a storyteller, mischief maker and word nerd who taps the human condition with equal parts ferocity and vulnerability.

Unafraid to mine the intricacies of our darkest emotions, Caruana is a writer, workshop facilitator, conversationalist and speaker with a particular penchant for community connection, collaboration, creative reinvention and challenging the norm.

She is co-founder of The Seed Fund, a philanthropic foundation supporting emerging artists with a particular focus on developing new pathways to creative independence.

Her writing has appeared in print & online publications such as Dumbo Feather and as a speaker she has presented for TEDx Perth.

An esteemed songwriter, as touring and recording artist Mama Kin, she has toured extensively Nationally & Internationally over the past 14 + years, captivating audiences with her distinct blend of storytelling, vulnerability, humour and songs.

With a knack for establishing instant and intimate connections, Caruana is open-hearted and honest, curious and engaging.

Born and raised by Maltese immigrants, on Wathaurong country (Western suburbs of Melbourne, VIC), Danielle now lives with her family on the banks of the Wooditchup Bilya (Margaret River, WA) on Wadandi Boodjar. She acknowledges elders past, present and emerging for their age old custodianship of boodjara (country). She is eternally grateful for the ongoing generosity she has experienced in the sharing of culture, kinship and language.
